SQL Developer

I'm looking for an experienced SQL Developer to join a global organisation in their Windsor office - this is a hybrid role, requiring 2 days per week in the office to collaborate with key stakeholders.

This role has a broad remit, as you'll be working closely with their Data Engineering Team in the US, and their Analytics Team in the UK, as well as board-level stakeholders, to ensure they have timely access to the data they need and deliver effective data-driven solutions.

You'll develop and maintain complex datasets, and design data pipelines and complex queries to extract data for the Analytics team to create their Power BI reports. All data is stored in Azure, so experience working in an Azure environment would be beneficial but is not essential. You will monitor and optimise database performance, and continually look to improve efficiency.

You will also write and maintain production-level code to support the development various applications and systems, and work closely with Software Developers to integrate SQL components into applications. As such, we're looking for a good understanding of software development best practices.

Whilst this is a very technical role, you'll be liaisng with a wide range of business stakeholders on a regular basis, so this role would be well-suited to someone who is a people-person, and enjoys variation in their work!

This would be an excellent role for a SQL Developer looking for that next step in their career, with an organisation who are committed to using the latest technologies!

Requirements:

  • Prior experience as a SQL Developer - including extensive experience writing and optimising complex queries, stored procedures, views, triggers and performance tuning
  • Experience with C# or Python is desirable but not essential
  • Understanding of software development best practices
  • Experience working with Azure SQL databases is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Benefits:

  • Private healthcare
  • 5% matched pension scheme

Please Note: This is a permanent role for UK residents only. This role does not offer Sponsorship. You must have the right to work in the UK with no restrictions. Some of our roles may be subject to successful background checks including a DBS and Credit Check.
