IT and Security Technician Apprentice

A IT and Security Apprentice is an integral part of the security team, responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure the protection and integrity of data and systems. The apprentice will be tasked with sending regular reports using tools like our Security Awareness Training platform, Vulnerability Management tool and conducting various scans to assess security posture. They will also be responsible for the setup and configuration of security solutions, ensuring that these tools are effectively integrated into the company's security framework.

Additionally, the apprentice will be providing administrative support to the financial operations related to cyber security services. They will assist in the automation and maintenance of various tools streamlining processes to enhance operational efficiency. The role extends to vulnerability management, where the apprentice will identify, evaluate, and address security vulnerabilities within the organization's network and systems.

RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) is another critical area where the apprentice will oversee the maintenance and management of security tools, ensuring they are up-to-date and functioning optimally. This includes regular updates, patches, and troubleshooting as needed. The apprentice will also contribute to the maintenance of other security tools, keeping them in good working order to prevent any potential security breaches.

This apprenticeship offers a practical learning experience in the field of cyber security, providing the apprentice with the opportunity to develop technical skills and knowledge while contributing to the safeguarding of the organization's digital assets. The role comes with a lot of flexibility and no two days will be the same. You will be working towards a Level 3 Information Communication Technician Qualification over the course of 15 months.
