Chartered Management Degree Apprenticeship - Waste Treatment Division FCC RECYCLING (UK) LIMITED

A knowledgeable, skilled, & motivated team are eager to share their expertise on the theoretical & practical knowledge required for an esteemed career in waste treatment. As part of this fascinating position you will be working alongside industrial chemists, engineers, & process teams in the sustainable management of industrial & chemical waste.

Role

  • Work four days a week, at one of our divisional locations.
  • One day studying.
  • Ideally you will already be living close to one of our existing sites in the South and West Yorkshire areas.
  • Over the course of the three and half years, experience different job roles and be mentored by our senior managers to deliver excellent customer service to our clients, support functions such as finance, health and safety, legal, HR, procurement, sustainability, and project management.
  • Carry out all your coursework and projects as work set by Arden University.
  • Gain an in-depth knowledge of the waste to resource industry for the business and industry clients.
  • Develop a sound business understanding of our business.
  • Develop an understanding of different roles within the company within operations and support services.

Training

The qualification you will be studying is: A Chartered Management Degree Apprenticeship

You will be employed 4 days per week within the working environment:

Predominately Knottingley, Leeds and Sheffield but on occasion elsewhere in the UK

The remaining day is a study day.

You will also receive:

  • All health and safety training, mandatory training, and site-specific plant training.
  • Additional divisional practical training and development.
  • Regular coaching on managerial techniques.
  • Quarterly reviews will be conducted to ensure you are on track and maintaining progress as required.
  • Successful apprentices will achieve a degree in management and business either BA Hons, BSc Hons or BB Hons, and also have the option to be assessed for the Chartered Manager status.
  • English and maths will be required to be demonstrated at a minimum of Functional Skills level 2 or equivalent.

Once the apprenticeship is completed, we would expect you to be;

  • placed within FCC, or
  • applying for our relevant supervisor/manager vacancies, where continued training and development will be given
